Gang Reduction and Youth Development (GRYD) Intervention Services Southwest 1
CBI’s GRYD Intervention Program provides wraparound services to at-risk, probationary, and/or gang (crew) involved youth between the ages of 14 and 25, that reside in and around the Southwest 1 GRYD Zone. The goal of CBI’s Intervention Program is to connect clients to employment and/or vocational training, resulting in employment with benefits and a living wage to ensure long-term success and overall improvement in their quality of life. Services provided include, but are not limited to:

Employment counseling – Resume writing, interview preparation, job search

Vocational development - Security guard training, building and grounds maintenance, RSO and TWIC cards

Academic counseling/advising - research school and/or program, application assistance (enrollment, financial aid, etc.)

Letters of recommendation

Certified nursing assistant (CNA), Dental Assistant (DA), cosmetology, Fire Fighting

Supportive services - Monthly food giveaways, hygiene kits, interview clothing and school uniforms, tap cards and gift cards

Mental health services - individual counseling and/or mentoring
