Community Build President Robert Sausedo and Lily Jack furniture manufacturer Senior Director of Business Development Cassandra Sampson talk to KABC7 about support for families devasted by the Altadena wildfire.  Lily Jack donated over 250 furnishings to Community Build, Inc. to be provided to wildfire survivors as they find housing.  Teamsters Joint Council 42 donated time, labor and trucks to transport furnishing to Community Build’s storage facility.

Community Build, Inc. President Dr. Robert Sausedo (center) distributed over $125,000 in grants to churches and nonprofit agencies to assist families and individuals devasted by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires.  These grants were made possible through generous donations from City National Bank, Target, and the Federal Home Loan Bank San Francisco.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and County Supervisor Holly Mitchell recently toured the West
Adams/Leimert Park Impacted Worker and Family Recovery Center.  Four recovery centers
throughout Los Angeles provide one-on-one assistance for registering with county agencies for
aid.  Community Build, Inc. President Robert Sausedo accompanied Mayor Bass on a tour of the
recovery center in Leimert Park and facilitated a discussion with the mayor and survivors of the
Altadena wildfire where she heard first-hand accounts of the difficulties they were experiencing.

Community Build President Robert Sausedo moderated a panel of bankers at the Los Angeles Sentinel’s Altadena Rebuilding Conference On March 29.  The conference provided information, resources, and most of all, encouragement for Altadena community members who lost homes and businesses or incurred damages or injury due to the Eaton Fire.

FAITH IN ACTION:  DR. ROBERT SAUSEDO LEADS $125,000 RELIEF EFFORT FOR FAMILIES IMPACTED BY ALTADENA WILDFIRE

Dr. Robert Sausedo, Assistant Lay Pastor at Los Angeles Community Church and President of Community Build, Inc. spearheaded an effort to gather local nonprofits providing resources and services to displaced residents. “We need an organized effort, so people know who to call near their community for resources,” Sausedo said.

COMMUNITY BUILD, INC. ASSEMBLES NONPROFITS TO SECURE HOMES FOR WILDFIRE VICTIMS

Community Build, Inc. partnered with Inglewood-based furniture manufacturer Lily Jack, Teamsters Joint Council 42, the Snoop Youth Football and Cheerleading League, LA Community Churches, 88 th Street Temple COGIC and many others to assist families impacted by Altadena wildfire. Lily Jack donated over 250 furnishings to Community Build, Inc be provided to wildfire survivors as they find housing. Teamsters Joint Council 42 donated time, labor and trucks to transport furnishing to Community Build’s storage facility.
